It revived a light hearted spirit within I've been way too serious lately! I need more fun in my life and I had a lot of fun reading this book. Thank you Genevieve Jourdin for this fabulous book! I wasn't super impressed with this story. There wasn't really anything very exciting that happened.

It seemed to just be Carter and Justine trying to trigger her memory. There was most definitely more room for steamy scenes, too! I did absolutely love reading the part from Carter's POV at the end! If the whole book had been written like that, it would have had 5 star rating potential.

Can't believe I I wasn't super impressed with this story. Can't believe I was debating about skipping it! Just OMG. But the author has this tragic event laid on top of an awesomely intriguing storyline that takes you on a wild ride, all the way to a happy ending. She writes very smoothly but yet with grace and style. Through her word choice and sentence configuration she OMG. Through her word choice and sentence configuration she adds tension where appropriate. She also becomes more light-hearted when the scene calls for it.

Her descriptions also bring everything into a vivid reality. I also really love the character development in this story.

They become more than simply names on a page, but rather your best friends. I came to love the characters themselves. The author uses some of the most ridiculous yet standard terms for things, especially lady parts. It makes her seem extremely real. She says what she thinks, and talks like a real person.

You cannot help but love her for it. She draws you further and further into the story. This was a very intriguing story that drew me in from the get go. It was simultaneously your typical romance, yet very atypical for the genre. It was a unique break from the norm while giving you exactly what you want. Please note that I received this novel free of charge from the author in exchange for an honest review.

I have to say that I really enjoyed this book, I have never gotten a chance to read a book about romance with lost memories intertwined with the plot. At first I was skeptical to how far the story would go, but author soon dowsed my worries down with each word I read. They were so well crafted and there was a sense of urgency between the two main characters, Carter and Justine, and also a very heated bond. I loved the moments of shared secr Haha I loved the moments of shared secret words which were renewed with the memory gained back by Justine to the urgency to keep Justine no matter what, as Carter expressed throughout the whole story.

I appreciated how the author gave a twist to the age gap and made the women older which weighed down on her urge to keep away and how she made Carter younger, but with so much maturity and passion. The scenes were also hot and needy with a little of a fetish for smells All in all a very interesting read, I suggest you give it a go. There are at least nine more, unpublished novellas that Martin tentatively intends to write, for a total of twelve novellas once the entire series is finished. In his own words he got a bit carried away, and ended up writing a detailed 80, word history even though the maximum length set for the novella submission was 30, pages. Martin had to focus only on one 30, work piece of the larger story, which he submitted as The Princess and the Queen This was later followed by The Rogue Prince , which is about 10, words long. Therefore, as of about half of what he wrote has not been released. The narrative conceit that Martin developed for these prequels is a drastic departure from his previous third person POV writing style.

Instead, it is presented as an in-universe history text from Westeros written by "Archmaester Gyldayn". This format allowed Martin to write about events which were public knowledge to most people in Westeros, while still keeping the secret reasons why people actually did things unknown, or allowing secret betrayals to remain secret.
